Home items is for the appliances, systems, fixtures, equipment, furniture, and other things you may need to identify, maintain, insure, or transfer. You can save the room, category, brand, model, serial number, purchase or installation details, replacement value, notes, photos, receipts, warranty information, and repair history. Choose Transfers with home when an item should be reviewed for the next owner. Choose Stays with you for personal belongings. Built-ins default to transferring, but you remain responsible for reviewing every choice before sharing a closing book.
Steps
- Open Home items and choose Add a home item. Add the details you know; every field is optional.
- Set whether the item transfers with the home, then add photos, receipts, warranty details, or repairs from the item page when useful.
Does not
- Decide what legally conveys with a sale or replace a contract, disclosure, or closing instruction.
- Share an item with a realtor or next owner until you use the separate sharing or transfer flow.
Escalate when
- An item will not save, an attachment belongs to the wrong item, or a transfer choice changes unexpectedly.
